Cockatoo Island

Set in the very heart of the Emerald City, the Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance, internationally recognised as the finest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, will unfold on historically important Cockatoo Island from the 1st to the 3rd March 2024. For three glorious days straight, the Sydney Harbour Concours, with title sponsor Ampol, will transform this unique island into a haven for automotive aficionados.

Guests arriving by special ferries led by the Sydney Heritage Fleet vessels, Berrimah, Harman and the 1902 steam yacht Lady Hopetoun, will be greeted by Australian service personnel in support of our new charity partner Legacy, and escorted to our exclusive locations, inside the cathedral-like Turbine Shop and its adjacent Eastern Apron. There, 40 significant motor cars including the 1964 Ferrari 250LM chassis number 5909, 1937 Bugatti Type 57 drop head coupé by Graber, and all the way from San Marino a 1930 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GT with coachwork by James Young will be on display with a host of other classic automotive jewels. Alongside will be the very latest super and hypercars from manufacturers Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, McLaren, Rolls-Royce et al lining the waterfront, creating a mesmerising sight blending old world classicism with opulent modernity.

The island’s atmosphere will be filled with excitement, fuelled not only by the prospect of hearing and seeing some of the world’s most exquisite motor cars on the move, but also by the chance to savour the finest from Champagne Pommery, and rosé wine from Chateau La Gordonne, with food especially prepared by our celebrity chef Sean Connelly included as part of this exclusive event. Our event partners including LGT Crestone Wealth Management, Calleja Pink Diamonds, Lockton Performance, La Trobe Financial, Paradise Garage, and Forbes Global Properties will be on hand to help celebrate haute automobilisme on the edge of the Pacific.

An international panel of judges from all corners of the globe will be present and will utilise their unmatched expertise to scrutinise the curated motor cars brought together in an array of Classes from the beginning of the Vintage Period to the modern classic and to determine which shall win the Prix d’Honneur of Best in Show.

But this event is not only about celebrating the past and the present; it is also about embracing the future. Vehicles from Polestar, the Rolls Royce Spectre, ARC motorcycles and more will showcase the latest in automotive innovation situated in our very own Electric Concours. Their silent yet swift nature pointing towards a generation of sustainable vehicles without compromise on luxury or performance.

Supplementing all of the above and along with music, motorbikes, motor boats, art, and laughter will be a series of talks on sustainability in the Ampol Amp-itheatre, whether be it in pink diamonds, watchmaking, Champagne, car production, wealth and asset management, presented in an interesting and informative manner by experts in their field.
