The eighth edition of the internationally recognised, and leading event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere is set to take place on Cockatoo Island in the heart of Sydney Harbour on 27th February to 1st March. As well as a continued heightened guest experience on Cockatoo Island, for the first time the event will be launched on Thursday 26th February on the spectacular Bennelong Lawn immediately in front of the iconic Opera House and the world-famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. 30 classic cars, just some of the entrants in the Concours, will gather together for a free to the public display before being driven in convoy by their excited owners across the “the Coathanger” to Woolwich to be barged onto the Island for the start of the main event on Friday morning to be judged by an international panel of experts to be the prestigious Best in Show.
Garden Party Thursday
The first Ampol Trial started in 1956 at Bondi Beach, 70 years ago. In 2026 the Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance will honour this important milestone and the anniversary of this historically significant motoring event supported by Ampol, then and now Australia’s leading transport energy provider, by launching its eighth edition at the Royal Botanic Garden in front of the iconic Sydney Opera House. Soak up the sunshine, history, cars, and flowers!
